3 Ways You Can Stimulate Hair Growth

Losing some hair every day is a completely natural process, but it is important to be able to tell when it has become more than just something that happens to all of us at some point during our lives.

If you are noticing your hair thinning in certain areas, there are ways in which you can try to stimulate the hair to begin growing back. It is important to note that not all of these ways will work for everyone and it all depends on the cause of your hair loss.

However, we believe that as your specialists in laser hair therapy in Dundee that there’s always a way worth trying. Here are 3 natural ways which you can use to try and tempt your hair to grow again.

Massage Your Scalp

Not only does a good scalp massage make you feel relaxed and refreshed, it can also encourage your hair follicles to begin producing those all important new hair cells.

The process isn’t incredibly difficult either- all you’ll need is some of your trusty skincare oil such as argan oil or coconut oil!

Rub a little bit onto the tips of your fingers and rub your scalp in small, circular motions while applying as much pressure as you can stand onto your head. This will increase the blood flow to the skin on your scalp and help stimulate the follicles to start producing the new cells.

Improve Your Health

Your hair relies on vitamins and minerals from your diet to continue to grow and stay healthy. This is why it’s important to watch what you are eating, especially if you are battling with hair loss.

Increase your water intake to make sure that your follicles stay hydrated and try to get more sleep; your hair can grow faster in your sleep, so try and get into a night time routine that will allow you to get a good night’s rest.

Lower Your Stress Levels

This ties in perfectly with the section that we’ve just covered about health. Stress can take it’s toll on our hair as well as our health, and with the festive season quickly approaching, we’re willing to bet many people’s stress levels will be through the roof.

Looking in Mirror

Stress can lead to hair loss, which for many people can be temporary, but it is important to determine what triggers your stress and either avoid that trigger or reduce your time in the stressful situation.

Try to take a few minutes out every now and again during the day to relax yourself- not only will you feel more relaxed and productive for it, your hair will benefit too!
